It is sad these aren’t the concepts unequivocally associated Christianity. The world so often sees the church as a money hungry slave to an angry God manipulating the weak for it’s own gain. And the rest of Christians as subservient followers of the church and it’s rules. How much further from the truth of the gospel can you get? If it doesn’t look like Jesus then it probably isn’t the church and if it is the church then it should only reflect the reason Jesus died.
Church: stop buying and start giving, stop finding approval in man and serve others. It is your freedom in Christ to do this and it is that freedom we give thanks for.
World: Stop looking to man and his faults and consider Jesus and what he said.
